CYPRUS TO HOST ILGA-EUROPE'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN 2016

The members of the Brussels’ based International LGBTI Association (ILGA-Europe) unanimously approved today in Riga the proposal filed by Accept – LGBT Cyprus claiming the organisation of the Annual Conference of the Association for 2016 for Cyprus.

Based on this it is expected that around 450 people from about 50 countries, including ministers, politicians, academics, activists and representatives of the European Union and the United Nations will meet in Cyprus in October 2016 to promote LGBTI rights in Europe and beyond.

Accept - LGBT Cyprus grateful and proud to have managed to fulfil an important goal, as it knows that the organisation of the Conference in Cyprus will give a boost to local bodies and the Government in general to assert their support for LGBTI rights, not only in Cyprus but also in Europe.
