Location:
University of Cyprus (Social Facilities Centre, building ΚΩΔ 07)

November 20th, has been established worldwide as the Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR), to honour the trans persons who lost their lives due to transphobia during the year. This year, 325 murders of trans people were recorded worldwide. The conditions and the terrible ferocity of their murders, clearly demonstrates the hatred behind the dreadful acts.  Let these conditions help us recall, even painfully, that, extremism, intolerance, and hatred should be condemned and repelled by the society and the states.

Accept – LGBT Cyprus will commemorate the Trans Day of Remembrance with a screening of the movie Boy Meets Girl (2014) by Eric Schaeffer. The screening will take place on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 21:00, at the University of Cyprus (Social Facilities Centre, building ΚΩΔ 07) at the main campus of the University of Cyprus in Nicosia and will be preceded by the lighting of candles in the courtyard of the University, at 20:30.
